Booking

How do I book a table?

Book online in minutes — choose snooker, pool, darts or shuffleboard, pick a date and time, and pay by card. You'll get instant confirmation.

Do I need to book in advance, or can I just walk in?

You can book online ahead of time, or walk in and ask at the bar if a table is free. Booking online guarantees your table and time.

What are your opening hours?

Monday to Wednesday 11:00–00:00, Thursday and Friday 11:00–01:00, and Saturday and Sunday 10:00–01:00. Open daily with extended hours.

What's the difference between off-peak and peak pricing?

Peak is from 17:00 onwards; anything booked before 17:00 is off-peak and cheaper on most tables. See the rate card on Tables & Prices for the full breakdown by game.

Can I change or cancel a booking?

Yes. Cancel from your account — more than 3 hours before your start time you get a full refund, and within 3 hours you're charged half (rounded up) with the rest refunded.

What happens if I'm late?

Your booking holds your table for the time you paid for, so it's best to arrive on time to get the full session. If you know you'll be late, call us on 01483 377147.

Can I book more than one table at once?

For a single booking online, book the table and time you need. For a group needing several tables at once — a party, tournament or work social — use the events enquiry form and we'll set it up for you.

Prices & payment

How much does it cost to play?

Prices vary by game and by peak/off-peak time — see the full rate card on Tables & Prices. Snooker, pool, darts and shuffleboard are all priced per hour (darts is priced per person).

What's the guest surcharge?

Bookings with extra guests carry a £5 surcharge per guest. This doesn't apply to darts, because darts is already priced per person rather than per table.

How do I pay?

By card, securely online at the time of booking.

Is there a discount for members?

Membership is required to book and play at the club — see the Membership section below for what each tier includes.

Can I get a refund?

Cancel more than 3 hours before your booking's start time for a full refund. Cancel within 3 hours and you're charged half (rounded up), with the rest refunded automatically.

Membership

Do I need to be a member to play?

Yes — membership is required to book and play at the club.

What membership tiers are there?

Full Access (£50/yr — all tables, darts, shuffleboard and bar), Over 65s / Blue Light / NHS (£40/yr — the same access as Full Access), Junior (£25/yr — all tables and shuffleboard, and the bar, but not darts) and Bar (£20/yr — pool, darts, shuffleboard and the bar, but not snooker).

Can a Junior member book darts?

No. The Junior tier covers all tables and shuffleboard, plus the bar, but darts isn't included online for Junior members.

Can a Bar member book snooker?

Not online — the Bar tier covers pool, darts, shuffleboard and the bar, but not snooker. If you try to book a tier your membership doesn't cover, you'll see an upgrade message instead of being charged.

How do I sign up for the Over 65s / Blue Light / NHS rate?

Choose that tier when you join. Ask us at the club — proof of eligibility may be requested.

Can I change my membership tier?

Ask us at the club — there isn't an online change-tier flow yet.

Does my membership renew automatically?

You can turn auto-renewal on or off from your account. With it on, your card is charged automatically when your membership is due; with it off, your membership runs to its expiry date and then lapses until you renew.

What happens if my membership lapses?

You won't be able to book until you renew — you'll be offered renewal the next time you try.

Guests

Can I bring guests who aren't members?

Yes — add guests when you book. A £5 surcharge applies per guest, except on darts bookings, which are already priced per person.

Do children need their own membership?

The Junior membership tier is for younger players. Ask us at the club about eligibility.

Can I bring a large group without booking online first?

For a big group, birthday, work social or celebration, it's best to enquire first through our events pages so we can set the right tables and food up for you.

Food & drink

Do you serve food?

Yes — stacked burgers, loaded favourites, crispy bites, salads and sharing platters. See the full menu on Food & Drink.

Will food be brought to my table?

Food and drinks are brought to your table while you play — everywhere except the snooker tables.

Where's the bar?

The Whirlwind Bar, our modern bar with craft beers, cocktails and premium spirits.

Do you cater for allergies or dietary requirements?

Please inform a member of staff if you have any allergies or dietary requirements before ordering.

Is there a kids menu?

Yes — see the Kids menu section (for under 12s) on Food & Drink.

Events & parties

Do you host parties and events?

Yes — birthdays, corporate socials, stag and hen dos, anniversaries, leaving dos and Christmas parties. Visit Events to see what's possible and send an enquiry.

How do I enquire about a party or event?

Fill in the enquiry form on the Events pages with your date, group size and what you have in mind — we'll call you back to arrange the details.

What activities can we do at a party?

Snooker, pool, darts and shuffleboard, plus food and drinks served to your table while you play (except at the snooker tables).

Can you run a tournament or coaching session for our group?

Ask us — we can talk through formats like a mini tournament, a darts league or a shuffleboard challenge, and coaching with Terry Burke on request.

Do you take work Christmas party bookings?

Yes — get in touch early with your date and group size and we'll help you plan it.

Is there a minimum group size or spend for events?

Ask us when you enquire — this depends on the date, time and what you're planning.
